7 Keys to Attracting Visitors

I'm back after a brief hiatus, shame on me! I wrote a few posts to test the waters wanting to see how many visitors I would have to view my posts. To date: Zero! Surprise! Surprise! How could that be! I was informative, filled you in on what my interests were, and provided a few opportunities to check out for yourself. No pressure tactics.

Did I mention that I forgot the most important factors. Am I providing information that you will find informative and that you don't already know? What makes this blog any different than others. Is my approach fresh and informative. Am I fulfilling a desire to answer some unknown questions. I do believe the jury is still out. At this moment I'm not sure what value this blog provides and will not know until my visitors provide some feedback. Given the fact that I have had zero visitors tells me something. Go back to the drawing board and figure out what must be done to drive traffic to my blog. Take accoutability for it and own it!!

Since my little hiatus, I have read and read, listented to videos, downloaded free ebooks and read some more. Fortunately, I found some little nuggets to assist me in driving visitors. This is what I've learned so far. There are too many to techniques to list here so I narrowed it down to the seven that I'm working on.

7 Tips to Attrack Visitors to Your Website or Blog:

1. Join the social networking sites. My favorites are LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook!
2. Comment on other blogs.
3. Write interesting and valuable content.
4. Write and submit articles. Be a subject matter expert in what you are passionate about!
5. Attract visitors with Free Giveaways like a free report or ebook!
6. Link to other articles and similar content blogs
7. Search Engine Optimization: making your blog and content search engine friendly.

I am deploying a many of the above tips and we will see what the response is. I know this all trial and error.

Making Money Online - Information Overload

After spending the past several days maneuvering my way through the maze of abundant internet marketing material I’ve concluded there is too much information to digest while at the same time applying that information? How do you know what to focus on first? This is a time where patience is truly a virtue. The concept of making money online easily has not computed at this stage. Of course I’m referring to making legitimate money on line and enough to generate wealth and sustain a lifestyle commensurate with income. Previously I suggested that it was important to have that business plan and create a strategy for how you intend on establishing a solid online presence that generates enough income that will provide for that quality of life that we are working toward. That plan will help you focus on each step of the process in building a solid business foundation.

One significant piece of advice that I might give you today is stop buying all that stuff that suggests that making money online is easy. Perhaps you can and will after mastering the fundamentals. If you are looking for that magical program that will make you rich overnight, you may want to consider another path to wealth. It will not happen overnight and it will not happen by buying any of the get rich quick schemes that are abundantly available! Quite frankly I’ve fallen into this trap of buying the online programs that promote significant income with their cash producing products. Well, I set-up the website, followed the step by step instructions, spent more money and viola, cash was just flowing into my account! Guess What! No visitors!!! Can’t make money with out the visitors! What was I thinking? I’m certain that I’m not the first person that has experienced this phenomenon. Funny how you get caught up in the “okay I’m really going to make it this time concept!

Perhaps there are a few programs that you can make instant cash online but they are in the minority and I haven’t found them. Guess what; the only legitimate way of making money online is with a fresh product or service niche, the proper tools, a positive mindset, motivation, a real internet marketing mentor and a lot of patience and tenacity. Instant cash will not magically appear in your bank account without some serious effort. When you peel away the layers from those that claim instant earnings from their programs, I would venture to say that most are not making the money that they have proclaimed in their sales pitches. Most true high income producers from internet marketing have all developed a solid foundation and continuously work on development plans for future products or services offered.

As I continue to delve into the extraordinary amount online information to make money at this, I discovered some very helpful online videos produced by Joel Comm, author of Adsense Secrets 4.0 (see banner under my links) and several other related e-books and programs for making money online. He has produced a series of videos available on You Tube that clarifies and instructs beginners and established online marketing gurus the fundamentals of making money online. I highly recommend that you take a look and listen to his story of how he has built his highly successful internet business from the ground up!

I am writing this message and want everyone to know that I am new to internet marketing and as a newbie I wanted to share some of my insights and lessons learned in my path to becoming a successful internet marketing expert! I have set a goal of earning a six figure income or more through internet/affiliate marketing and plan on accomplishing this by learning from the experts/mentors who have created very successful internet marketing businesses.

My purpose for writing this is to share with you lessons learned and hopefully assist you in avoiding some of the mistakes I've made and will make along this journey. I am passionate about assisting others in achieving their dreams and goals and hope that I can make a difference through this post.

I know there are thousands out there who are like me searching for the answers. I''m certain that many of you have invested thousands in what I refer to as get rich quick schemes and I share your pain. I've invested signficant time, energy and money in real estate programs, auctions, MLM opportunities and a host of other programs that proclaimed to make you wealthy if you just followed their program.

My intent is to provide you with honest reviews of what has worked and what has not and perhaps who you can trust and who you cannot. You are probably asking yourself right about now, why should I trust you! I suppose the answer is that I am no different than you! I have stated up-front that I am new to this business and have not earned a penny as of this writing. However, as I earn an income and become successful you can bet I will share my experiences with you.

Right about now you are probably wondering why I have not made any recommendations or provided you with a review of the some of the products/affiliate programs available that will generate an income. Although I have tried a few, I would prefer to to comment after giving them a chance to produce my desired result.

I will leave you with this one bit of advice, only you can make a difference in your life and create that financial freedom that we all are seeking! I encourage everyone to share their comments and perhaps some of their expertise in making my dream and goal a reality.

Quest for Answers

As I continue on my journey to find the answers to building a successful on-line business and generating wealth and achieving my goal of earning an annual six figure income, I am quickly realizing that there may not be one single source to answer my questions on getting started.

I have researched hundreds of "make money on-line sites" and have not found the one that will ultimately guide me to my goal. Perhaps that is one of the first lessons learned along this journey. A single source of information may not exist and therefore I need to decide what my strategy will be to compile the information that is digestible in manageable bites to make daily progress. So I'm taking a step back and going to focus on finding the best sources of information and a forum to ask questions on building the foundation of my on-line business.

As with any new business start-up, the key to building a successful business is defining your goals, develop your strategy and write your business plan. The business plan will be your foundations for success. So I should take my own advice and write a plan that will guide in my quest for success. In an effort to fill in the details of my plan I will focus my attention on joining on-line forums that discuss building an online business from the ground up. I'm certain that the successful gurus figured out how to generate wealth on-line through trial and error. I'm also quite certain that many are now benefiting from their experiences and continue to build and grow their business by offering money making tips through on-line ebooks and videos that will help you get started. Thus far I have investigated far too many claims of making large sums of money on-line overnight. Perhaps that is true with some but I truly believe that the real experts have built their business over time.

I believe that is one of the lessons learned thus far, if it is worth going after, you must commit yourself and stick to it! Avoid getting overloaded with information and stuck in information paralysis.

As a result of my research, I did find a very useful and highly recommended ebook that has guided me thus far in defining terms and giving me a very good overview of on-line marketing. I highly recommend purchasing this ebook. The title is "Super Affiliate Handbook" authored by Rosalind Gardner. It is well written and I found it to contain a wealth of information for understanding some of the basics.

I will continue to explore and seek out the information so that I can provide you with my lessons learned and recommend other helpful tools and links to other sites that will assist in creating your online buisness and generating wealth.
